Wednesday, 11th April was my birthday. Naturally, there must be a celebration for me however small it might be as I am 1 year old now! My birthday party celebration has been brought forward to Saturday, 31st March as 姨姨will be out of town the week after and she doesn’t want to miss this special event.

I was extremely happy on my birthday (thou I am always happy everyday). Mummy kept trying to explain to me, “hey darling, it’s your birthday, it’s about a cake and a candle”! I do not know it was my birthday celebration but I can feel that the celebration is for me, as everyone were looking at me and happily calling my name when mummy brought me to the venue where my birthday party was held.

It wasn't easy to get a nice picture of me together with my customized cake specially designed by mummy because everything was quite overwhelming for me. Firstly, I was so fascinated by my favorite Disney cartoon characters cake – Winnie The Pooh that I kept wanting to move forward to touch it the moment mummy unveil the cake box. My 大姑 was the unofficial videographer while my 小姑-the camera (wo)man, was switching between 2 digital cameras, and my 婆婆 and 姨姨 were each busy entertaining me, we were so excited and making lots of noise. I was neatly lined up together with daddy and mummy at the center of the table with the cake. I was for awhile wondering why everyone was standing in front of me, busy taking photos of me, smiling at me and later singing a song to me that I find it sounds familiar. Now I know for sure this party is for me! My focus was so much on my cake that most of my photos were me staring at my cake.
